Mayflower Back in Steam This Weekend

After a hiatus of over a year, steam tug ‘Mayflower’ is back cruising the harbour this weekend!
Following a series of repairs and refreshed parts, she was lit up and went for a test sailing today whilst Henbury and Crane 30 were on ‘Have a Go’ duties.
Sailings are due to take place Saturday and Sunday and trips can be booked from the ticket office.

Thanks to Bob for the photos!

Have-A-Go Week!

It’s the return of the popular ‘Have-A-Go’ events, where you can pay for 20 minutes tuition on how to drive a steam locomotive, followed by 20 minutes learning to drive one of the electric cranes!
There are not many places in the UK that offer this so it’s pretty special.
Bob Edwardes has been taking photos this week.

Ned also came by with his cute steamboat.
